Our Assembly

On Friday we preformed at our class assembly. Our teacher was proud of us and thinks we are all stars!

The Fair is finally here!

The time for the Fair has finally arrived. Check out all of our creations on our Middle Team Stall. This is what they looked like before the doors opened.

Honesty is the best policy!

Our value of the term is honesty. We read the story of Pinocchio and learnt that when he lied his nose grew. We created a display that talked about honesty and what we have done to show honesty.

Sewing our keyrings

We have been busy creating and making our key rings for the fair. Be sure to check out our stall in order to buy our wonderful creations!

Opening of Te Puna Ako

Today we had the official opening of the learning centre - Te Puna Ako. We are looking forward to now starting to use it.

Maya, Nadia and Lucy even managed to get their photo taken with the Prime Minister.

Visiting Araiteuru Marae

On Tuesday (Turei) we went to visit Araiteuru marae. We were welcomed onto the marae with a powhiri. We sang a waiata and greeted the Tangata Whenua of the Marae with a hongi.

After the powhiri finished we broke out into different activity groups. Some of the activities that we completed were poi, kowhaiwhai patterns and Maori games.

We had a lot of fun and learnt a lot of new things. Thank you to our tutors at the Marae and to all of those parents that came to help us.
